My wicked story, told through The Beatles songs:
Blackbird
It started when I asked him to play this song for me, Blackbird, as this is one of my favorite The Beatles songs. But then he kind of forgot about it. He just said yes to it but didn’t actually mean to do it.
Something
I listened to this song on repeat as it resonated with how I felt for him at that time, like there was something about this man that made me so enamored by him. Like I felt this much chemistry. We also found out that we both liked George Harrison, the mysterious Beatle, and this is one of his classics.
If I Fell
I jumped into this song and had it on repeat as well. This kind of describes how I feel for him, like I am falling even though I know I will not be chosen as we are both technically cannot be together due to certain circumstances.
I Will
This song is one of Paul McCartney’s classics, and it was so cheesy, so romantic like, 'I can wait for you, just tell me to.' I felt like I was walking on cloud nine and the dopamine hits were addicting.
Norwegian Wood
Then things got a little more interesting and spicy. There was a mild confession between me and him, and I was not ready for the feelings that I had. This song captures the feeling of barely knowing a person you just met but already being so captivated.
Octopus's Garden
Octopus's Garden was the soundtrack of this time because I was just so happy. I was always positive, always smiling and felt so carefree because I really liked him.
I Want You (She's So Heavy)
This song is one of the best The Beatles songs and I can feel the intense passion and John Lennon’s so-called obsession with Yoko Ono. I felt that too, and I was like wanting him, until wanting him became impossible to ignore.
You Won’t See Me
After the fondness, being honest and showing vulnerabilities and imaginary intimacy, somehow, the person I liked the most became the person I could no longer reach. Our connection just drifted away and I am not going to chase it anyway. I just let it go where it wants to. And that is fine with me.
So, I guess that is the story of us. And I cannot complain, as at least I was able to convey my feelings to him. I do not regret telling him how I feel. But everything has its end. And I want to thank him for letting me discover that I can still like someone despite my age and all the trauma I have experienced before. That I can still be seen, still be praised, and still be liked, even if only for a very brief moment.
Thank you so much G! You are so beautiful. As always. xoxo andygurl
Disclaimer: This is actually the chronological order in which I listened to these songs, based on what was happening between us at the time. So yes, this really was the soundtrack of whatever was going on between us ahahahaha
